The D2 Studio project focuses on ecological design and was developed around the theme Active vs. Passive Space. The studio was designed using recycled furniture and sustainable materials, such as aircraft plywood. The space is organized for simple and efficient orientation and is divided into functional zones to meet the needs of students: for commuting and non-commuting students, for team-based or individual work, as well as relaxation and presentation areas.

The interior is personalized and inviting, providing privacy for those working independently, areas for “messy work” (workshops), spaces for relaxation with access to a kitchenette, and zones for presentations. The activity of the space arises from the actions and traces of its users, while its passivity is expressed through the clean, minimal use of materials. Materials and finishes include cement, concrete, wood, and metal. The design combines artistic, craft, and industrial approaches, fostering creative work while maintaining a human-centered and functional interior.

The project was awarded The Prize of Professor Halabala in 2019.
