The master’s thesis on Biophilia in Space focuses on the design of a conceptual jewelry store and showroom for the American company Bayou with Love, which recycles gold from Dell laptop motherboards. In connection with the company’s nature – and environmentally-oriented jewelry production, the thesis explores various natural principles, which are artistically applied to the industrial retail environment of the Nivy Center in Bratislava. The given conditions shape the core idea of the project, which is based on the contrast and the harmony between the rational urban environment and the ethereal natural world.

The thesis focuses on models of biophilic thinking for designers, which are applied in commercial interiors to create a retail space with an artistic signature inspired by nature. The design establishes a semantic expression informed by research insights and contextual conditions, reflecting the transition from technology to art and from nature to art. It also defines the corporate identity of the company with a comprehensive environmental concept, shaping a space that itself becomes a piece of jewelry.

The project was awarded the INSAID Awards in 2022, The Prize of Professor Halabala in 2020 & the Dean’s Prize in 2020.
